Our Story
SaferSit started in Cincinnati, OH when Francie, a local student, and Laura, a local mom, combined forces to create a solution to a common parent dilemma - finding a babysitter you can trust!
Francie started a babysitting club while in high school at Saint Ursula Academy. She gathered up her fellow students and marketed the group for babysitting and pet-care. After graduating high school and moving on to The University of Cincinnati, Francie continued to stay in touch with students at Saint Ursula in order to continue the business. After using Francie’s group for babysitting, Laura knew Francie was really onto something.
In 2016 SaferSit was born! Once SaferSit became an official company, word spread quickly. With the simplicity of submitting a request for a date and time, parents have come to trust and rely on SaferSit for all their babysitting needs.
Amber, a local professional nanny in Cincinnati, approached Laura and Francie in January of 2018 with the idea of expanding SaferSit to Louisville with her as she moved. Amber is now the Louisville Community Manager of SaferSit.
